Mid Century Ranch Remodel Before and After

This mid-century ranch before and after is a testament to the transformation a historic home can undergo when given the proper love and care. This mid-century modern ranch in the Lakewood area in Dallas was brimming with original character, from the terrazzo floors to vaulted ceilings, beams, and original period lighting fixtures. Unfortunately, the wood paneling above the fireplace had been painted over from an unfortunate flip along with a few other choices the new owners just weren’t about.

Our goal? Restore the original elements of this mid-century beauty while updating the home for modern living. Paige Studio stepped in to create a whole home design plan with a scope that included the restoration of the focal fireplace wall, a custom built-in entertainment console, and custom built-ins at the dining area (in progress). It also included refreshing the wall color to a warm bright white, and full furnishings and installation package.

The result? A warm and earthy light-filled living space perfect for entertainment that takes full advantage of the homes architecture and original character while modernizing it for today’s living. These are the before and afters we love creating for our clients.
