Craftsman-style homes are common in many neighborhoods in Dallas. Known for their unique charm as well as ample built-ins, our mission was to enhance that allure while meeting the practical needs of a growing family. Faced with a small and outdated kitchen, the new homeowners tasked us with expanding and transforming the space into a functional hub for family life while infusing historic charm back into the home after likely multiple bad renovations.

By merging the kitchen with an oversized laundry room/pantry, we are able to expand the footprint without compromising the integrity of the living and dining areas. The removal of the pantry allows us to create a seamless wall of cabinets with an integrated panel-ready refrigerator, opening up the space and providing ample storage for food and kitchen appliances.

The new layout also allows for the addition of an eat-in island and workspace which further elevates the kitchen's functionality, catering to the family's contemporary lifestyle needs and acts as a hub for conversation and connection.
